About Chef Lynn Wheeler

Hey Foodie Friends! I’m Chef Lynn Wheeler — a self-taught professional chef, culinary adventurer, food content creator, and occasional drag queen!
My love affair with food started long before I ever stepped into a professional kitchen. Growing up in rural Ohio, I spent countless hours watching my mom and granny cook, learning that food was about so much more than what was on the plate. It was about family, tradition, laughter, and bringing people together. Those early experiences sparked a passion for cooking and entertaining that has stayed with me ever since.
Over the past 25-plus years, I’ve built a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry, doing just about everything from washing dishes to managing restaurants and running professional kitchens. My culinary journey took me from Ohio to New York City, where I launched Divalicious Catering and served as executive chef at The Village Trattoria in Manhattan and Third & Vine in Jersey City. Along the way, I developed a love for creating memorable dining experiences, experimenting with flavors, and putting my own spin on classic dishes.
Eventually, my journey brought me to Florida, where I’ve worked as a chef, restaurant manager, and consultant while continuing to build my personal chef and catering business. Whether I’m preparing an intimate dinner party, creating a menu for a special celebration, or experimenting with something new in my own kitchen, I approach food with the same philosophy: great food doesn’t have to be complicated, but it should always be delicious.
My culinary curiosity extends far beyond any one cuisine. I love exploring flavors and traditions from around the world, and Filipino cuisine holds a particularly special place in my heart, thanks in part to my Filipino husband. From treasured family recipes to unexpected food trends, I’m always excited to discover something new and share it with others.
That passion for sharing eventually led me to create Getting Saucy With Chef Lynn, my cooking channel where I invite viewers into my kitchen to explore recipes, test viral food trends, discover new ingredients, and have a little fun along the way. I’ve also expanded into creating authentic content for brands, combining my professional culinary experience with my personality and love of storytelling.
As I approach my 50th birthday, I’m embracing this next chapter with more curiosity, confidence, and enthusiasm than ever. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that life gets a whole lot more enjoyable when you stop worrying so much about what everyone else thinks and start celebrating who you are.
Whether you’re here looking for a recipe, planning a special event, exploring a collaboration, or just sharing a love of good food, I’m glad you stopped by.
Pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable, and let’s get saucy!
