Easy Homemade Granola
Equipment
- 1 large mixing bowl
- rubber spatula
- liquid measuring cup
- Measuring spoons
- baking sheet
- parchment paper
- airtight container
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup neutral oil vegetable, rapeseed, coconut
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 3 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup walnut pieces or other nuts or a mix
- 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut optional
- 1.5 oz chia seeds
- 1.5 oz flax seeds
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tps ground nutmeg
- 1 cup dried cranberries or other dried fruit
Instructions
- Pre heat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl combine the oil and maple syrup.
- Add in all the other ingredients except for the dried fruit.
- Mix well to combine everything.
- Spread the mixture evenly on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 10 minutes.
- When the granola is done baking sprinkle on the dried fruit and mix it in.
- If you want it to clump up press it onto the baking sheet and allow it to cool.
- Once cooled to room temperature break it up and store in an airtight container for up to one month on the counter.
